Melissa Erickson, MA

Melissa

It has been both a passion, and a privilege working in the helping profession throughout my career. I hold a master's degree in Counseling Psychology, a certification in Marriage & Family Therapy, as well as a certification as a PROSCI Change Management Practitioner.

I began my career as a Mental Health Therapist, practicing for 20+ years providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy.

I then went into Corporate America assisting fortune 500 companies, small businesses, nonprofits, and educational institutions with corporate mergers and acquisitions/alignments focusing on Change Management within each organizational structure. It was during this time, I realized I was more interested in helping individuals, assisting people in their life goals, versus achieving structural business objectives. As a result, I began to shift my work back into private practice.

Navigating  life's transitions can be overwhelming at times. Life always moves from one perspective to another. It not only gives us a new dimension of the future, but it gives a new depth to the past. Seeking therapy is a client strength, a solid foundation to effectuate real change. I value collaboration with clients, working to understand what tools and approaches are most helpful to them. Understanding that individuals are unique in their mental health needs, my work focuses on helping individuals find the best evidence-based treatment modalities for them. I enjoy following clients over time throughout their journey to improvements in their mental health and lives.
